Is the card for my star sign the same as my birth card?
No, they are two different systems. The sign card comes from the old correspondences between the major arcana and the zodiac. Your birth card is worked out from your date of birth with simple arithmetic, and the calculator will do it for you.
How long does it take to learn to read?
Longer than a weekend and much less than people imply. Most readers can hold a three card spread together after a couple of months of reading one card a day, mostly because they stop looking things up and start noticing what the picture is doing.
