A white butterfly stays on the doorframe far longer than a butterfly should. Your left ear rings in a quiet room. You wake at three in the morning again and lie there wondering whether any of it means anything.

Most of these have a plain explanation and we give it on the page rather than hiding it, because a sign you have to believe in to enjoy is not much of a sign. What stays interesting is the noticing: you were thinking of someone, and then the feather.

So these pages take the things people look up at odd hours and give you three things for each: what the old folklore says, what is most likely going on, and what it might be pointing at in your own week. Then one small step you could take today.
